Turbulators are very useful in gas or air cooling applications. The type usually used are the flexible type of a light winding configuration. By churning the gas/air in the tube it increases the number of hits of the gas/air molecules with the tube wall significantly increasing heat transfer. This allows the making of very compact gas/Air coolers. |
